Life doesn't slow down

We have been going none stop. Had a nice weekend with our oldest who visited Labor day weekend.  Did a yard sale at the in-laws house. Sorry we took all your money mom and dad, lol.  Then got terrible news on Sunday.  My cousins 2 year old little girl was killed in a terrible accident at their home.  So made a quick trip for a very sad funeral last week.  Much prayers are appreciated for my family.  I love you guys and know God will help you thru this.  Got home, worked on the yard most the weekend. Went to church and Chuck won first place in the Chili cookoff! woohoo!!  Then got sick Monday night and all day Tuesday.  I am really ready for things to calm down a bit!! So today has been pretty normal for the most part (thank goodness) I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest of the week to be the same.

Steps!

So we were dropping the boys off with my parents so we could go to Albuquerque and pick up our oldest. We were at moms office and I was talking to mom and Chuck comes in the office saying you wont believe what Greyson just did. Greyson walked like 10 steps!!! He was so excited and wanted to kep walking. He is on his tippy toes and still shakey but he is getting there! There is no stopping him now! He is growing up soooooo fast.

Greyson turned one!!!

So I think it has finally hit me. After the planning is done and the party is over... my baby just turned one!!!!  He is such a joy.  He is a flirt, he is joyful, he has a temper, he loves his brothers dearly, he is insanely adorable!  It has been a year of many smiles and I am so blessed to be his mom. 

And these are my boys all together... what a joy the three of them to see together. 

Greyson....

     On the thoughts on my mind as you are about to turn one!  You have changed my life in so many ways.  It was so scary when you first arrived but we have since learned you are one strong dude!  Now that you are about to turn one you have been doing such wonderful things.  Just yesterday you started doing the motions to "itsy bitsy spider" and it is so cute.  You have started picking up your own toys in the bath tub when its time to get out (so proud!).  You clap at the end of any song you hear so mommy keeps singing!  I love the shy face you give us sometimes.  And you just learned to give momma kisses which I must say... I can't get enough of!  You have the best fun with your daddy and you light up when Tristan comes in the room.  I know you will always be close!  I could use a little less of the squealing though son... we know your sitting right next to us at the table. You are so strong!  You want to climb everything and can hold yourself up with your hands when you want to get somewhere.  Do I see sports in your future?? I hope so! 
     I am blessed to have you as my son. I thank God for trusting me to raise you and I ask his help every day.  I pray that you will grow up to know and love Him.  I also pray you grow to be smart, responsible, compassionate and considerate.  We love you so much Greyson and can't wait to watch you as you grow.

It has been one heck of a week! I am exhausted but still kickin. I do wish I was still in bed with my guys though!

Catching up

I can't believe this summer is almost gone. Tristan will start school in less than two weeks! And Greyson will be 1 year old in less than 3 weeks! Where has the time gone? We have been so busy. Trying to keep the kids busy, working, trying to relax some. We took the kids to Albuquerque to visit with Alexander and take the kids to the zoo and aquarium. It was so much with Steph, Kim and dear friend Val and her kids.

Greyson has learned to clap and he was even clapping in his sleep for a short time.  He is such a doll!  He is talking so much more.  He adores his brother Tristan.  Tristan gets him to laugh so easily and they are so adorable together.  They are special boys!  So here are some pictures showing a few of our adventures from this summer. 

So here's to the closing of summer 2010.... Looking forward to a cool fall.
